Detectives investigating the murders of a mother and son in Utah are searching for creepy doorbell camera footage they say shows a 'figure walking in front of the victims' residence' on the night they died.
Jessica Orton Lyman, 44, and her son Eli Painter, eight, were found with fatal gunshot woundsamid a gruesome scene inside their home in Saratoga Springs, around 35 miles south of Salt Lake City, on March 28.
Two more children were in the home at the time - Lyman's 17-year-old daughter and her 15-year-old son, but they were unharmed. The teenage girl found the bodies covered in blood and dialed 911, police said.
Police documents state that 'no evidence of a forced entry or altercation was found' and 'no weapon was seen in plain view'.
Saratoga Springs Police told DailyMail.com they are working to hold someone 'accountable' for the deaths, and new search warrants have described the deaths as a 'double homicide'.
Investigators added they believe Eli had been dead for around four hours when his sister discovered the body, and detectives are now searching for doorbell footage from Lyman's home after reviewing surveillance video from neighboring houses.
'I obtained doorbell camera footage from other neighbors and saw a figure walking in front of the victim's residence at 2:18 a.m. on March 28,' the warrant states.
'The video was too far away to see details of this person, but I believe the victim's doorbell camera would show this figure in better detail. This video may give critical information to identify the suspect in this case.'

Paramedics pronounced Eli dead at the scene on March 28, and Lyman was flown to a local hospital in critical condition, according to Saratoga Springs Chief of Police Andrew Burton.
Three days later, Lyman succumbed to her injuries and died at the hospital. Her obituary said she died 'surrounded by family.'
Police officers have opened an investigation into their deaths, sealing off the home as a crime scene and interviewing family members.
Assistant Police Chief Bill Robertson told reporters at a press conference that authorities were treating 'everybody' as a suspect.
Robertson added that police weren't concerned for the public's safety and were still attempting to 'piece together' the incident.

He added that he didn't hear gunshots on the morning of their deaths, but saw the two teens emerging from the home crying and screaming.
'No one knows what to think,' Clements admitted.
Funeral services were arranged for Lyman and Eli, and Eli's elementary school is holding a memorial balloon launch for him on Saturday.
'He was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. His adventurous spirit, infectious enthusiasm, and tender heart left an unforgettable mark on his family and friends,' Eli's obituary read.
Eli was described as 'full of adventure,' and a Spider-Man fan with a 'boundless curiosity.'
